What is it?
Fluoride is a natural mineral that many dental product manufacturers add to end user products in order to help prevent tooth decay. Fluoride binds to your enamel, strengthening it and speeding up the process where your enamel replenishes itself.
Who uses it?
There’s a big chance that most any dentist you’ve visited for a check up has used fluoride either in your toothpaste, or have had you do a fluoride rinse. Multiple studies and years of observation have shown that fluoride is effective at preventing gum disease and other forms of tooth decay.
Now, Dr. Neelima Chiru is aware that some rumors about fluoride exist. Those rumors are false, and fluoride isn’t added to water sources as a mind-control additive (that’s a real conspiracy theory). It’s used because it works.
